Jackie and I had a great time at the fourth annual San Diego Comic Fest at the Town and Country in Mission Valley. We were especially pleased to be included as guests of the show! Comic Fest is, as the organizers describe it, “the friendly, intimate  comic con experience.” And that’s no hype! Though the show was very laid-back, that didn’t detract from everyone’s infectious enthusiasm for comics. A theme this year was commemorating the 100th birthday of Dr.Acula himself, Forrest J Ackerman. The Town and Country’s cafe was devoted to Forry, complete with monster standees, Famous Monsters covers, and a life-size King Kong!  A good time was had by fan and pro alike– see for yourself in the photos attached. I’m already looking forward to next year’s Fest!
